* New Features- August 2019

Autodeposit

Autodeposit is a feature within the Interac e-Transfer service where you can register your email address(es) to have funds deposited directly in to your account, without having to answer a security question. The sender is made aware before initiating a transfer that the recipient is registred for Autodeposit.

Request Money

Request Money is a feature within the Interac e-Transfer service where money can be requested from anyone in Canada within the security of your online banking or mobile banking application. Money can be requested using email or text messaging. When your request is fulfilled, you will recieve notification once the funds are available in your account.

Benefits:

Send and receive money directly from and to your existing bank account
No need to share personal or financial information, allowing you to keep your address, phone number and account information private
A security question protects your transfer from being deposited by an unintended recipient
Email carries the notification, so no need to get stamps or find a mailbox

Is it safe?

With Interac e-Transfers, your money never actually travels by email.  Email is only used to notify the recipient and to provide them with instructions on how to deposit the funds.  Provincial Government Employees Credit Union and your recipient's financial institution transfer the funds using established and secure banking procedures.
